The Deaths Of More Than 300,000 Americans Have Not Caused Trump To Stop Lying About The Virus

Donald Trump understood in January 2020 that the coronavirus was a deadly threat. He has known for nearly 10 months that it will never "go away like things go away" or disappear "like a miracle".

But he lied about that in January.

And he lied throughout February.

And he lied throughout March.

And he lied throughout April.

And he lied throughout May.

And he lied throughout June.

And he lied throughout July.

And he lied throughout August.

And he lied throughout September (even as recorded conversations revealed Trump knew the truth all along, but decided to lie, knowing his lies would lead to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans).

And he's still lying about it in October.

And he'll be lying about it in November.

Donald Trump has claimed nearly 40 times that the virus would go away.    USA Today, October 14, 2020
Researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond found nearly 75,000 more people may have died from the pandemic than what was recorded in March to July, according to the report published Monday in the peer-reviewed journal JAMA.

Which means the true death toll in the US is closer to 300,000.

Reported today: Trump's 14-year-old son Barron tested positive, along with his parents. (Another one of Trump's popular lies is that children are nearly immune to the virus. That is not even close to the truth.)
