Hypocrisy

December 16, 2020 (44 days after Election Day): The Arizona Republican Party states: "There is no 'president elect' until . . . Congress convenes to count and cetrtify the electoral votes from all 50 States. #FactCheck"

November 9, 2016 (2 hours, 45 minutes after midnight on Election Night): The Arizona Republican Party states: "It's official: we are welcoming President-elect @realDonaldTrump! #ElectionNight #MAGA"

Note that in the 2016 tweet, both candidates still have incomplete electoral vote totals. That means VOTES WERE STILL BEING COUNTED. (Obviously, they were, since polls had closed only a few hours earlier.)

If we lose, there is no "President-elect" for 65 days (or maybe never), but if we win, our guy is deemed "President-elect" in less than six hours after polls close on Election Night.

The hypocrisy is off the fuckin charts. What else can you say but . . .
